Cinnamon Apple Crisp

A delightful way to eat an apple a day

Sweet, tart, and full of heart. This dessert is as delightful as it is easy to prepare.


Ingredients:

  • 6-8 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup flour

  • ½ cup oats

  • ¾ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • 4 oz coconut oil

  • ¾ cup walnuts, chopped

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.

  2. Grease a 9-inch round Pyrex pie dish with coconut oil.

  3. Place sliced and peeled apples in bottom of pie dish.

  4. In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and coconut oil. Mix well.

  5. Add the walnuts and mix to combine. Sprinkle over the apples.

  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes.
